An electrocardiogram (EKG) records the electrical signal from your heart to check for different heart conditions. EKGs can be done as part of your routine medical exam or to help rule out heart disease. AMI offers EKGs for adult patients and usually takes about 15 minutes to complete. All EKGs are reviewed by a board certified cardiologist.
Dopplers use high-frequency sound waves to measure the amount of blood flow through arteries and veins in your legs, arms, and neck. Dopplers can show reduced or blocked blood flow in vessels of the neck that could cause a stroke. Dopplers could also show blood clots (Deep Vein Thrombosis or DVT) that may break loose and block blood flow to the lungs (Pulmonary Embolism or PE).
Echocardiograms use sound waves to show your heart’s function and structures. Echocardiograms allow your provider to see how well your heart is beating and pumping blood. Your provider can use these images to identify abnormalities in the heart muscle and valves.
AMI uses Digital Radiography (DR) which produce 80% less radiation than traditional X-Rays. DR also allows us to capture, view, and send X-Rays on site. By utilizing a DR system that is web-based results are streamlined therefore leading to quicker results and treatment options. Board certified radiologist interpret all X-Rays.
